Abstract
Objective: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of Colon Hydrotherapy by Digital Infrared Thermographic Imaging(D.I.T.I.)

Methods: 20 patients taken Colon Hydrotherapy were examined by D.I.T.I. from March 27, 2002 to September 16, 2002 in Oriental Medical Hospital of Won-Kwang University in Ik-San. They were examined twice by D.I.T.I. before the first Colon Hydrotherapy and the third Colon Hydrotherapy. After we evaluated the symptoms by four grade(poor, fair, good and excellent), the results were statistically analysed by SPSS(Version 10.0).

Results and Conclusions: In distribution of sex, male was 5(25%), and female was 15(75%). Mean age was 36¡¾16 and the patients in twenties were the most. The majority of chief complaint was constipation, obesity, digestion disorder, skin trouble and so on. And clinical improvement of symptom grade was shown above good grade in 60%. Generally the result of D.I.T.I. had a tendency to descend, but it wan not evaluted significant. In the sex groups, the effect of Colon Hydrotherapy didn¡¯t have correlation with the result of D.I.T.I. Clinical improvement of symptom grade also didn¡¯t have a influence. But in the age groups, we could find the correlation between the effect of Colon Hydrotherapy and the result of D.I.T.I. in CV12(ñéèÒúë)and both ST25(ô¸õÒúë). In the patients in twenties and forties, the result of D.I.T.I. had a tendency to descend, while in thirties and fifties, it had a tendency to ascend. Afterwards the more study of Colon Hydrotherapy will be needed.
